MAX: a centralized repository of medical algorithms Tests and algorithms abound in the scientific and medical literature, mainly Anglo-Saxon literature, but these algorithms are often inefficient and unused. the main reason is the lack of standardization in the format of these algorithms which make use inefficient. Given these findings, Medical-Sphere has pooled the expertise of a team of professionals from different disciplines to develop softwares incorporating these tests and algorithms under the same interface, making uniform format and therefore capable of simplify the use: MAX (Medical Expert Algorithm) is a software that centralizes a full range of tests and algorithms to refine a diagnosis, to assist in decision-making and directing a therapeutic approach in a or more areas of medicine. Max brings together under the same interface algorithms from different sources and therefore removes the barriers to their practice and their use. The use of complex algorithms is then facilitated. The automation of medical algorithms via MAX reduces the risk of medical errors by reducing data to introduce and elimination of calculation errors. MAX also provides recording and archiving of results, and provides tools (documentation, search mechanism ..) facilitating the selection of the appropriate algorithm. For example, MAX could be used by psychiatrists to establish the psychological profile of a person, by paediatricians to achieve the health of newborns, by anesthetists for the preoperative evaluation of risk,... MAX can automate the process of questioning the patient. MAX is also a centralized algorithm repository for students and researchers, can contribute to a program to improve performance of a medical department, can help practitioners to better understand some specifics of their specialty. In addition to integrate, simplify and standardize the presentation of these algorithms, MAX also provides a number of tools, including for example a report generator, etc.. In the future Medical-Sphere is clearly positioned as one of the essential software publishers dedicated to medical and paramedical specialist doctors working independently or in hospital MAX is now available for most medical specialties. Medical-Sphere announces version 2.0 for 2009 and should include features such as very promising modules for managing alerts and generation of recommendations, creation of custom tests and a first web version
